Im not sure. Apparently ebay, but i looked and couldnt find this older looking one. Just ones with the silver H.
And i see you got yourself a nice little Ek coupe! And its white! My lude is white too, so i approve! I feel you on the low mileage, as i got my prelude with 65K on the clock. However, you will get over yourself after the first few times you crack vtec. Oh its such a glorious sound.

That is one hell of a find then! I am really Impressed
I did indeed ! I am so glad to be part of the Honda Family. I actually need a Keychain now, the current one I have is an Opel Keychain.
I never realised Your Prelude had 65k !! That was incredibly low. One thing that just settles my mind is that it is a reliable car from a good brand, with no rust or damage and has been looked after.
Thats all I want from a car and it is pretty nice that it happens to look good and is quite fun to drive!
I am a Vtec fanboy and I couldn't be happier

Im sure you can find a pretty unique civic keychain if you search around ebay for a little bit.
Well it had 65K when i bought it. Ive put on 10K smiling, revhappy, miles. I love driving that car. I hope to take it to 300K miles.
They are reliable SO LONG AS you do maintenance. But im sure you know all that. The prelude has never left me stranded (knock on wood) and im sure the civic wont let you down. (of course they will give you a warning that something is wrong with them, so dont be ignorant about that)
You should do an SI interior swap on yours. I think they were leather and stuff. Thats my ultimate goal with my car. Put in all the cool goodies preludes everywhere around the world got, but the USA didnt.
Enjoy that civic, for its a reminder of how great honda was such a short time ago.
Welcome, to VTEC Club! (the 'V' motion over the groin is the vtec club gesture we give)

I would love something original. Even though I do have an aftermarket alarm on it , I would also love an original fob... just for appearances. Time to do some googling !
Oh It will be serviced at a local shop, The owner is a family friend. He looked after my spitfire, Our Mustang and a few other of my Dads American Imports. I have had my fair share of unrealiable cars but there is something about the civic that as you said "will tell you " if somethings up. I like how it loosens up after it drives for a bit.
Actually that is a great Idea. The SI interior would be lovely especially as its a daily driver, I need to get in touch with a few friends in Florida who work in a tuning shop to see if I can source some parts when I am over next. They deal with a lot of part sourcing.
I AM IN A CLUB ! AND WE HAVE A GESTURE! I AM SO HAPPY

"it loosens up after it drives for a bit". Ive been looking for that line for a while. Thats a perfect way to describe my prelude too. Its like its needs to stretch about before you can go balls to the wall. (not that i do that very often, i havent hit vtec in over 3 months... dam winter)
You can also get different interiors from other hondas. (i could put NSX seats in my prelude for example). But i would suggest getting the parts meant for your car. That way its fun an easy to install. Rather than a pain. See if they make a nice JDM steering wheel too.
hope you got a DOHC VTEC sticker like me! Subtle, but key to our club.

The Civic reminds me of my dog. In the morning she slumps around and stretches and about an hour after waking she is racing around.
The car just needs to stretch and wake up.
I was very cautious all day yesterday , I didn't want to push it too hard but on the way home, I dropped a gear and she barked!
I want to keep things as stock as possible so I may stick some recaros from the type R into it, or some nicely bolstered leather seats.
I WANT THAT STICKER ! Where may I ask did you get it ?

These cars really are peppy. I love any of the older hondas.
Type R seats would be awesome too. I go for that. Working with aftermarket seats and seat rails can be a pain sometimes. I know its a bit hit or miss with prelude seat rails and stuff. Join one of the civic forums and read up on what options you can do, and what other people have done to their cars to give you ideas.
The sticker came like that from the factory. It should be on every prelude by default unless it was removed.
This is the sticker from a real OEM honda parts store. Not an ebay replica:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/p…
Also i should mention. Dont buy the ebay made crap. Buy OEM honda for all your maintenance parts. If you find real OEM honda parts on ebay, thats different than the ebay replicas (aka reps).
edit: You did really good getting the skirts, front lip, and rear lip paint matched. Its nearly impossible to find parts like that used or new, in your paint color. It took me months to find painted skirts. And my rear one isnt really the same color.
Also you have RHD. So it makes it easier for installing JDM specific parts. Keep that in mind if you buy anything US spec.

Peppy, Light and enough Mechanical feel to let you know exactly whats going on!
Exactly, Something OEM would be perfect, My cousin actually found some Honda Accord buckets for about $170. I may take a look at them at the weekend. The dealer I got the car at has a forum which is pretty good , so Im going to make an account.
Any car I have had has always had OEM parts. You don't take the cheap route when it comes to maintenance, its just foolish and honestly causes a lot more heartache. Perfect case in point I put 49,000 miles in two years in My old Seat Ibiza, Regular services and VW parts meant I never had an issue apart from a flat tire here or there.
Thanks ! The shop I got it from does respraying, actually the painter is my cousins friend. So they were able to source the parts , choose the original paint code and make sure everything blended well. I went over the car with a torch in the dark and there is no orange peel or drips. The only error is a bit of overspray under the trunk on a wire. Its a tint of white spray. Thats it.
Actually the huge benefit of having such a huge import scene here is that there are many scrap cars and cars for dismantling. So you can find anything you want in relatively good quality. For specific parts I may get in touch with the guys in Florida.
